10 Dog Tweeting Stars I Follow on Twitter

I spend quite a bit of time on Twitter, not as much as I used to though as I’ve been trying to concentrate more on writing content for Doggy Bytes – I guess this relatively wordless post doesn’t reflect that, but if you spend any time on Twitter you know it can tend to be a real time-suck if you let it, so . . . I’ve had to curtail my Twitter time a little bit.

When I am on Twitter though, I follow and watch these 10 tweeters closely. They tend to tweet about useful dog related stuff like dog training, pet travel and pet news etc.

If you’re a dog or animal lover on Twitter and you’re not following these 10 tweeps, I highly recommend that you do.

Eric is a New Jersey based dog trainer: Dog Spelled Forward

Rod & Amy of Go Pet Friendly travel the USA and Canada cataloging everything “pet friendly”

Karen has a great Do-It-Yourself blog that teaches how to make all kinds of cool dog stuff: Doggie Stylish

Mary-Alice of Dog Jaunt reports on all things related to traveling with a small pet.

On her blog, Dancing Dog Blog, Mary Haight talks about some hot topics surrounding companion animal issues.

Michele’s blog Pet News and Views focuses on bringing news to pet and wildlife lovers.

Edie is the author of Am I Boring My Dog, and tackles some controversial topics on her blog, Will My Dog Hate Me.

The Animal Law Coalition blog keeps a close eye on, and reports on animal rights and laws in the USA.

Hug A Bull is a pit bull rescue/advocacy group based out of Vancouver, British Columbia. There’s lots of good pit bull info on their website.


EcoPup Dog Clothing is as the name suggests, an eco-friendly dog clothing company also based out of Vancouver. Great stuff!

    I thank you too for including me! And I love the graphics on this post -- but that's what the "bytes" in DoggyBytes is about, right?

    Some of my other favorites tweeters include @fearfuldogs, who blogs about dog responsibility in general (as well as, naturally, fearful dogs), and @dogloversdigest, who has been writing great anti-Millan posts lately. @boulderdog1 doesn't blog often, but when she does I always enjoy the dog philosophy that accompanies the tales of fearful Sadie.

  • April, the new site looks great! Finally an RSS feed too, so now I'm subscribed. =) Ironically, Google just announced today that they've added a new feature to Google Reader that will let you subscribe to any website whether they have an RSS feed or not. Anywho, I'm subscribed. =)
