Affinia Hotels, “Jet Sets Pets”

Affinia Hotels is re-launching its popular pet-friendly travel program Jet Set Pets to help keep the furry member of the family feeling right at home during any trip to New York, Chicago and Washington, D.C. In response to airlines charging higher pet fees, Affinia is “pup-ing” the ante by offering to waive their standard $25 Jet Set Pets fee, if guests can provide a receipt for any airline pet fees incurred during their trip. Upon check-in at any of Affinia’s seven hotels, pets will receive several fun items that they can use during their stay and take home for future travels, including:Affinia 064-1_web

  • A signature nylon water bowl designed specifically for travel
  • A city-specific chew toy: The Empire State Building for pets staying in New York City; The Capitol Building for pets visiting Washington, D.C.; and Al Capone for pets staying in Chicago
  • A Robbie Dawg tin of organic treats in select flavors

In addition, for use during their stay, guests will receive a pet ‘do not disturb’ sign for the door to alert others of the animal’s presence, a food and water bowl, and a plush dog bed, as well as an extensive list of nearby pet services such as groomers and day care centers, local parks and dog runs, and pet-friendly restaurants.  Hotel concierges can arrange pet taxis, pet psychics and special occasion cakes for pets upon request.  A standard fee of $25 per pet applies per stay in New York and Chicago, but as mentioned above, this fee will be waived if guests show proof that they had to pay for their pet’s travels to the hotel.
