But as a pet owner, I just can&#039;t imagine why someone would give a pet as a gift without taking the time to investigate the breed, prepare the home, etc. - all of which needs to be done with the input and feedback of the recipient.  Thanks for posting this - especially during the holiday season when pet gift giving may most likely occur.</description>
