Ten Million Reasons to Adopt and Spay/Neuter

by Jim McBean on October 17, 2009 · View Comments

A Las Vegas veterinarian and a euthanasia technician talk about the daily struggle of having to euthanize hundreds of animals on a daily basis.

I warn you, this is a very very difficult video to watch! I had to really think about whether or not I should post it or not, but the reality is, unless pet owners and would be pet owners are aware of the massive pet over population crisis in North America, and the world, the problem will continue to grow, and many many more innocent animals will needlessly suffer. If you’ve ever questioned the value of spay/neutering and adopting a pet versus buying, you may take a different position after watching this video.

Make sure to have a big box of Kleenex on hand and with your dog or cat laying beside you press “Play”. Once you’ve wiped the tears away (there will be many), forward this link to everyone you know, 10 million cats and dogs per year are counting on us.
