The American Pitbull Terrier is without question, one of the most maligned breeds of today. It has not always been that way though. In the 1920s & 30`s, “Petey”, the most famous of the Little Rascal dogs was often photographed with children after his retirement, and in the words of his owner Harry Lucenay, “He was a gentle, playful and warm dog. He would sleep at the foot of my bed. He was just the regular family dog. I really miss him.”
